About the author

Lynne Klemens has twenty-seven years of teaching experience in public schools.  She was raised in Rahway, New Jersey and attended public schools there.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in the Education of the Hearing Impaired from Trenton State College, now known as the College of New Jersey.  She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Reading Specialization from Kean University in Union, New Jersey.  Along with her graduate degree, Lynne has earned, through coursework, New Jersey certificates in six different areas in the field of education.  The first seven years of  Lynne’s career were spent working with hearing impaired middle school and high school students.  After that she worked one year with elementary students with learning difficulties and then with learning disabled high school students for the next nineteen years in several different schools.  Lynne also taught reading in regular high school classes during some of those years.  Later in her career, Lynne was paired with various regular educators as the in-class support for special education students within the regular classes. After retirement in 2009, Lynne created a book, Save the Children; Save Our Country, to help parents guide their children into becoming better students.  Her hobbies include reading, traveling and genealogy.  She currently resides in Central New Jersey.
